Download the app and get started today
After months of development and testing, the wait is over. The Voltbee app is live! Voltbee makes sharing your home EV charger easy. As a charger owner, you can earn up to €1,500 per year. You decide when your charger is available and how much you charge, and you can adjust both at any time.
EV drivers can find available chargers on the map, select a time slot, and book and pay through the app. Charging with Voltbee can be approximately 20% cheaper on average than using a public charging station. After each charging session, payment is processed automatically and the charger owner receives their earnings.
Everything is handled in one app, from finding and booking a charger to charging and paying.
Share your charger or charge for less
With the Dutch net metering scheme coming to an end, using your own solar energy directly is becoming much more attractive. Through Voltbee, charger hosts can charge around €0.35 per kWh by sharing their home EV chargers.
For EV drivers, this offers several benefits. Charging through Voltbee is approximately 20% cheaper on average than using a public charging station. Prices are clearly displayed upfront, so you know exactly what you'll pay. You can also book a time slot in advance, something that isn't possible at many public charging stations.
This means you know how long the charger will be available to you, making it easier to plan your charging session and parking time. That's particularly useful if you don't have a private parking space at home and rely on nearby charging options.
Need a little extra time? You can often contact the charger host and ask whether you can stay a bit longer. This offers greater flexibility compared to many public charging locations.

Smarter charging and sharing is coming soon
We're currently working on integrations with mapping platforms and further expanding our OCPP integration. This will make your charger visible on more platforms, increasing your chances of receiving bookings. At the same time, more parts of the charging process will become automated and flexible.
We're also planning to develop dynamic pricing and smart energy management. This will allow EV drivers to charge for less when electricity prices are low and renewable energy generation is high. Charging sessions can also be better aligned with solar energy production, household electricity consumption and available grid capacity.
We're already receiving lots of valuable ideas and feedback from users. We'll be using these insights to keep improving Voltbee in the coming months. Together, we're building the energy grid of the future.
Together, we're accelerating the energy transition and making EV charging more accessible!
