To provide our services through the Voltbee app, we may collect and process the following categories of personal data:

- Vehicle details (such as your vehicle make and license plate number)
- Charging station details (such as the address and photos)
- Booking details (such as the date and time of a booking)
- Location data (such as your current location and search location)
- Charging and transaction data (such as the amount of energy charged and the amount due)
- Communication data (such as messages and emails)
3. For what purposes do we process your personal data?
When you use our app, we process your personal data to provide our services and to manage and secure the app. We also process your personal data to analyse and improve our services. For these purposes, we may use personal data for internal analyses and for the further development of the Voltbee app, related platforms, and marketing channels.
When you contact us, we process your personal data to respond to your question or request.
Where permitted by law or where you have given your consent, we may send you personalised marketing messages or display advertisements through marketing and advertising partners.
Finally, we process your personal data to comply with applicable laws and regulations, such as tax and administrative obligations. Where required by law, we may disclose your personal data to supervisory authorities or other competent public authorities.
4. On what legal basis do we process your personal data?
We process your personal data where this is necessary for:
- the performance of our agreement with you, for example for your account, bookings, and charging sessions;
- compliance with legal obligations, for example for our tax administration, invoicing, and statutory retention obligations;
- our legitimate interests, for example to ensure security, prevent fraud, and improve our services;
- purposes for which you have given your consent, for example certain marketing communications, push notifications, and access to your location.
You may withdraw your consent at any time through your account, your device settings, or by contacting us. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the consent was withdrawn.
5. Who has access to your personal data?
5.1 Within Voltbee
Within Voltbee, only employees and contractors who need access to your personal data to perform their duties are authorised to access it.
5.2 External parties
Where necessary for the provision of our services, we may share personal data with:
- IT, cloud, and hosting providers;
- payment service providers, including Stripe;
- map and navigation service providers;
- email and notification service providers;
- analytics, marketing, and security service providers;
- charging point operators and other parties involved in facilitating a charging session;
- supervisory authorities and public authorities where we are legally required to provide information.
5.3 Other users
Other Voltbee users only receive the information necessary to facilitate a booking or charging session.
For example, an EV driver may view the location, availability, price, photos, and instructions of a charging station. A host may view the EV driver's name, booking time, vehicle details, and any messages.
6. International transfers
Some service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In such cases, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
7. How do we protect your personal data?
Voltbee implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure, and other forms of unlawful processing.
These measures include encrypted connections, secure storage, access controls, logging, and regular security updates.
8. How long do we retain your personal data?
We do not retain your personal data for longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or to comply with legal obligations. The retention period depends on the type of data, the purpose of the processing, and applicable legal retention requirements. After that, we delete or anonymise the data.
9. How can you exercise your privacy rights?
You have the right to access your personal data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, object to the processing, and exercise your right to data portability.
